Answer: I'm 5'8 and 130 and i got the SM, and it was tight around the ribs but fit well! Maybe go for a ML.

Answer: This does tend to run small as I am a size 12 and the XL fit me. However, it is a little revealing so I agree that she may need a tank under it with leggings.

Answer: I'm 5 2. Got small had to send back and got large no bust 120 lbs to big at the bust but I can fix it.
